Vash Zwingli

Character Name: Vash Zwingli

Age: 17



Appearance: About 5'6" with a slender yet muscular build, dark green eyes and short (often messy) mixed gold hair. Vash tends to dress rather plainly, often just plain black tee shirts with jeans, and often wears an old Army jacket. Keeps an old stone rosary around his neck and tucked under his shirt for personal reasons.

Species: Vampire

Sexuality: Pansexual. He's not really particular or preferential about gender, as long as he's attracted to the person intellectually, emotionally, and then sexually. He's had several crushes and short-lived relationships, but never anything solid.

Personality: Vash is a very quiet and rather distant teen who can be hard to get to know. He doesn't smile often, though he does care and is very compassionate; he just doesn't put up with shit from other people. He tends to keep to himself, only really going out to get food or go to work, not really having or keeping any friends. He does admire the beauty in things and people, though, and will spend hours drawing or tending his gardens at his personal home when he's not doing something else.

Background: After his father died overseas, Vash's mother withdrew and became negligent and abusive to her son, causing him to become aggressive as he pulled away until she finally surrendered Vash to foster care. Unfortunately he ended up being bounced from home to home, unwilling to let anyone near him psychologically or physically. When he was 16 he was told that his mother died from a car crash and she'd left him the row house he was a baby in and that had been her house since she was a baby. Vash then lived on his own in the large, tall row house, working hard as a courier and unloading trucks at stores to support himself in the city. The neighborhood had been mostly abandoned for years, and his home was the last one on that block that still had a living occupant, all others boarded up.

One night on the way home from one of his jobs, he decided to take a shortcut through the park near his neighborhood. Seeing a mugging in the process, Vash decided to step in and assist the young woman being threatened, unaware that she was more than capable of killing the man herself. Deciding to see where it took her, Elizaveta took Vash up on his offer to go to his house so he could call her a cab home. Impressed and somewhat aroused by his being a gent and coming to her aide, she came to find that the young man had no living family left and that he was working himself to death. Elizaveta revealed herself to be a vampire and offered Vash a place in her house and a family that would never leave him alone again. Vash accepted and died that night to become part of the family that belonged to his new Mistress.

Vash has now been dead for a little less than a year but is still adjusting to his new un-life. While he doesn't fully regret the new family he's gained, he is finding that it's come with a heavier price than just dying and his soul. He hates killing and when he hunts, he typically goes alone, grazing the homeless that inhabit his abandoned neighborhood, making a point to always hypnotize them, never take more than a pint, and make them forget that they'd been bitten. Though he was bitten by his Mistress and has the right to claim her as a mate, fights with Gil for being Master of the house fail, reminding the sullen blonde that even in death it's the same shit, just a different house. He does care about his new family immensely, though, even if he doesn't say so often and will do anything to please his Mistress, yet finds his contentment in talking to their "pet", sketching, and spending time in the house that he still owns in the city and tending to his impressive gardens which span his roof, back yard, and the lot directly behind his house.
