Personality: Hardworking and serious, domineering. He likes a fight but always keeps his cool, knowing when to stop. Drinks heavily when off duty.

Background:
His father and his brother abandoned Ludwig when they went out to sea, and having to grow up with academic tutors, he became quite intelligent, learning how to fight in a classroom rather than on deck. Upon hearing of his father and brothers disappearance, Ludwig (then 11) was devastated, locking himself away in his room with his books, studying the seas, maps and practicing fighting. He kept himself in shape, making sure that he was strong enough to go find the two missing men. Ludwig presumed his father was dead, but hope that he would one day find Gilbert kept his spirits up.

At 16 his guardian/tutor died, so Ludwig went to work for a few years to earn some money, so he could afford accommodation and the books he needed.

Now, at 18, Ludwig is preparing himself to sail the seven seas and look for his beloved brother…now all he needs is a ship to join…
