Personality: On the exterior, he appears to be a playful and friendly sort of salesman, but after digging a little deeper, you'll find that he can be a manipulative, cruel, and sadistic con-artist. He really doesn't have any grudge against the king or the young Prince Arthur, but he has a deep love for causing trouble wherever he goes. He tends to be more of an observer when it comes to people and has an almost otherworldly sense of intuition. Take 5 minutes to talk to him, and he'll have figured out a good number of things about you without having said anything about himself.

Background: He traveled a lot with his mentor for most of his life and learned a good portion of the magic that he knows from this man, but of course Ivan being Ivan soon grew more interested in darker practices. When his mentor found out, he tried to dissuade Ivan from digging any deeper into that kind of magic, but Ivan fought back and ended up killing the old man. Since then, he's gained a good number of underground connections in other kingdoms before finally settling and making his own little shop in our very own Prince Arthur's kingdom. He still studies sorcery when he isn't running the shop, but he doesn't practice his magic as openly as he used to since he wants to keep a semi-low profile. Lately, he's been dabbling in on potion making and is quite good at it~
