The Forest is said to be the gathering place of the Werewolves, though no one knows their exact location. It surrounds the city on three sides, and paths for travelers to and from the city are well-defined by signs. However, it is advised that no one travel in the late or very early hours of the day.
It is rumored that the Werewolves' gathering place is somewhere in the heart of the Forest, far away from any potential plant life grown by the humans of the city.
The ancient trees are taller than many of the buildings in the city, creating an almost unbroken shade over the entire forest floor. Much like the darker inhabitants of the forest, only the toughest plants and animals thrive, though more fragile plants have begun to adapt. The plant and animal life varies, though humans are wary of conducting long-term studies to find out more.
The back doors of the Chapel face into the Forest, but they are only accessible with a key or prior arrangements with others from the inside.
Others (humans, vampires, and werewolves) live among the trees, though only the boldest leave their homes at night or wander from the frequently traveled paths.
Hunters occasionally patrol the paths, to help grant travelers safe passage to the city and as a warning to the Werewolves and Vampires that the city still watches them.
