What You Need to Know

The basic premesis:

In the not-too distant future, people with strange powers are beginning to crawl out of the woodwork. The US Congress has tossed around all kinds of ways to "handle" the mutant "problem." Top of the list right now is registration - like the registration of sex offenders, names, powers, crimes (if any), and addresses of mutants would become public knowledge.

Mutants have reacted in several ways, but two dominant schools of thought - one of them housed in an actual school - exist. Magneto, head of the Brotherhood of Mutants, insists that mutants are superior to humans, and should not need to bend to their puny laws. Professor Xavier advocates peace and diplomacy - he teaches the students of his school that fear and prejudice lead to hatred and violence - which lead to more fear and prejudice.


The places:

Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters: It is an academy built to help teach young mutants how to control and work with their powers. It is housed in a large, expansive mansion, and has many classrooms, dorms, and facilities to better help the young ones that live there.

The Brotherhood's Compound: The place where the Brotherhood of Mutants lives, trains, and spends their time. There is a fores/marsh, rooms for them to sleep, training facilities, cells... the Compound is made entirely of metal, due to it's maker's... abilities.
