Character Name:Matthew Williams
Age:15
Appearance:Staff
or Patient:Patient
If Patient, what is your
derangement? Why are you here?Delusional DisorderSexuality:Matthew will unconditionally love anyone who reciprocates his feelings genuinely.
Personality:Matthew is quiet and pleasant in most cases. He understands the reason he's at the Asylum, and he's not particularly phased by it either. In fact, he finds this life a lot more comfortable than his old one. At least people are aware of his existence here, and believes that if he must be mentally deranged to achieve this, so be it.
He is somewhat insecure when it comes to relationships and demonstrates borderline paranoid habits when he becomes close with someone. These traits mostly take the form of self-loathing. He will occasionally cut himself, justifying it as a means of proving his existence.
He carries a white stuffed bear with him wherever he goes, and it is often the silent second person in most of the conversations Matthew has. He will also sometimes speak to the bear if he feels uncomfortable speaking to someone directly.
Background:
Matthew was quite high functioning in his everyday life until the people
around him suddenly became unable to recognize him. They forgot his
name and face, and sometimes they would completely ignore him. He had
become invisible somehow. Rather than falling into despair, however,
Matthew suddenly began to despise everyone and everything around him,
claiming that he gave them all so much of his love and that he
deserved to be loved in return. Finally, he'd reached a point where he was no
longer able to control himself and brought a butcher's cleaver to
school. When his name was skipped on the attendance sheet for the 23rd
time in a row, Matthew stood from his seat and calmly walked to the
front of the room where he decapitated his teacher with a serene smile.
He attacked the rest of his class in a similar fashion. To this day, the
middle school he attended still cannot figure out who the murderer was.
